The Guild

About Designers' Guild

SENTIENT Privé is a small, member-only community for New York's designers, architects, and makers — a place for the people shaping the city's interiors, buildings, objects, and images to know one another well.

A Guild, Not a Club

We aren't a members' club in the traditional sense. There is no building to check into, no dining room to claim. What we keep instead is a carefully kept roster of people who take their craft seriously, and a year-round calendar of gatherings built around them. The work of the Guild is simply to make sure the right rooms happen, at the right pace, with the right people in them.

Curated by the SENTIENT Team

Every dinner, conversation, studio visit, and cultural gathering is programmed by the SENTIENT team with the same editorial discipline we bring to our studio work. We choose hosts we already admire, invite guests we can personally vouch for, and keep the rooms small enough that real relationships can form.

For the People Shaping the City

Membership is by invitation. Our members include residential and commercial interior designers, practicing architects, furniture and object makers, craftspeople, and a handful of cultural and editorial voices working alongside them. Adjacent disciplines — fashion, photography, gallery work, hospitality — are welcomed when they share our standard of care.

A Year Worth Showing Up For

The calendar runs on a quiet rhythm: a few events each month, balanced across seasons and neighborhoods, spread between private homes, studios, galleries, and landmark interiors. Members move through the year alongside a community that notices the details, and, just as importantly, gives one another room to be at work.
